The Brooklyn-based creative agency The Gathery sued Aurora James, CFDA vice chair, Brother Vellies designer and philanthropist. James was personally sued alongside her nonprofit, Fifteen Percent Pledge, and its fiscal sponsor, Philanthropic Ventures Foundation, for missed payments. The agency previously produced the Fifteen Percent Pledge’s galas in 2024 and 2025.
