PRETORIA – The Hawks’ National Task Team arrested an accountant for fraud allegations and he is expected to appear in the Cape Town Magistrates court this morning.
It is alleged that the accountant fraudulently compiled an annual financial statement representing Empire Investment Cars where Mogamad Mukadam is a director which was submitted to the bank. That allegedly assisted the company to receive loans, vehicle financing and the change of its ownership from Nafiz Modack’s brother to Mukadam.
Mukadam was arrested on 26 January 2022 for fraud and is out on a R25 000-00 bail after his court appearance the following day. More arrests are expected as the investigation is continuing.
