LAFAYETTE, La. (KALB) – A federal grand jury in Lafayette returned a four-count indictment on April 15, charging Jane Frances Pierce, 63, of Boyce, with mail fraud, filing false tax returns, corruptly interfering with an Internal Revenue Service investigation and money laundering, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Western District of Louisiana.
Pierce faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison for mail fraud, up to 10 years for money laundering, three for tax fraud and corrupt interference charges and three years of supervised release for mail fraud and money laundering.
