Boulder County, Colo. – The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce the launch of a new Fraud Awareness Training Program, a volunteer-run initiative designed to educate community members about fraud and scams and reduce the risk of victimization across Boulder County.
Fraud and scam activity continues to surge both nationally and within Colorado. This surge reflects both the growing sophistication of scammers’ tactics and the broad range of fraud types affecting people of all ages. In Colorado, the problem is particularly acute as Colorado ranked seventh in the nation for fraud complaints per capita.
