4:35 a.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a home on McAllister.
9:55 a.m.: A home owner on El Paseo needs to retake the class on disarming the burglar alarm.
11:20 a.m.: Police investigated a report of a mailbox that had been tampered with. It turned out to have been closed improperly.
12:09 a.m.: Someone spray painted graffiti on Lake Herman Road.
12:21 p.m.: A resident on Arguello reported either the loss or theft of some plates.
12:29 p.m.: The person who reported an abandoned bicycle in the parking lot at the end of West K Street forgot to mention the bicycle was locked to a pole.
12:53 p.m.: The people who pitched a tent on East Sixth Street left after police pointed out they were camping on private property.
2:07 p.m.: Officers opened an investigation into fraud against a resident on East I Street.
2:23 p.m.: An ex-boyfriend showed up on Hawthorne but left after his ex-girlfriend called the police.
4:31 p.m.: A resident on East H Street reported receiving threatening mail.
6:00 p.m.: There was a family disturbance on Sunset.
6:10 p.m.: Police received a report of a car burning rubber as it left Bolton Circle.
10:06 p.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at an East Industrial Way business.
10:26 p.m.: Police managed to corral the dog that was running around in a Solano Square store.
11:40 p.m.: There was a car illegally parked on Rose Drive.
Editor’s Note: Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
