Email Fraud Alert received from: Anesh
I recently received an email with this subject line: ABSA Bank Rewards and I am concerned that it could be an attempt at defrauding me. Let me know in the comments section what you think, please.
The full contents of the suspected fraudulent (phishing / scamming) e-mail appear below:
I am a Platinum Client at ABSA Bank and I have subscribed to their Rewards programme a few years ago. Every time I fill petrol at SASOL service stations I was supposed to receive a cash back reward from ABSA Bank for that. Despire me having use my ABSA Card to pay for petrol at SASOL on numerous occassions I my ABSA rewards amount has not increased. Numerous enquires and e-mails have not been responded to. ABSA have the audacity to charge me R21 per month for a service that they have not provided me. There could be a Million such clients that have the same problem thereby enriching ABSA by almost R21 Million per month. I consider any company or person who charge a fee and don’t delvier the promised goods or service – fraudsters. ABSA Rewarsds is nothing but a scheme designed to enrich the British shareholders of Barclays in UK and our local fatr cat directors of ABSA. Cheap skates must be exposed at the highest level and the public should protest and boycott ABSA Bank for this criminal activity.

I, Anesh, have the following thoughts/comments on this suspected fraudulent email message from “Mr Buldeo”:
I have copies of all my e-mail correspondence sent to ABSA Rewards, ABSA Platinum Banker , ABSA Actionline without any replies or courtesy calls whatsoever. They are nothing but a bunch of cheap conniving crooks.
