Email Fraud Alert received from: Alan
I recently received an unsolicited phone call from: +27 (87) 5510622 – 087 5510622. Let me know in the comments section what you think, please.
So this wasn’t an email sent looking to defraud me but a phone call from ‘Alice’ from BF Brokers (could have been BS Brokers) and it went like this:
BS: Hello, this is Alice from BF Brokers.
ME: Hi Alice, do I have an account with your firm?
BS: I don’t understand!
ME: Do I have a brokerage account with your firm?
BS: I am calling from BF Brokers.
ME: Yes, I got that and I want you to tell me if I have a brokerage account with you?
BS: Huh?
ME: (aggressively now) Obviously I don’t have a brokerage account with you and I want you to tell me exactly where you got my number from so that I can get it deleted with the utmost haste and contempt.
BS: muffled expletive and the phone is slammed down.
ME: Try to phone back to confirm the name of this spammy brokerage and the phone is continually put down. Caller BLOCKED.
