Email Fraud Alert received from: Britt
I recently received an email with this subject line: ?CONGRATS ? Did you win a $1,000 Walmart Gift Card? and I am concerned that it could be an attempt at defrauding me. Let me know in the comments section what you think, please.
Britt has the following thoughts/comments on this suspected fraudulent message:
This has all the hallmarks of a stupid phishing attempt:
- Mail from a ‘supposedly’ benign domain
- Pretty Wingdings (for the terminally brain dead)
- A Walmart gift card for someone where there is NOT a Walmart to be found?
I suggest to the writer (MaxFlo) that he/she place his/her head in the oven and set the gas to Maximum Flow.
